The Goodnight Market

A couple of nights ago, my sister and I went to the Goodnight Market at the Tramways building. It happens about once a month on a Thursday night from 5pm to 9pm. All the proceeds go to a charity, including the R20 entrance fee. It is basically a gathering of top artisanal food vendors in PE, and with well known spots like Foongs, Mastertons Coffee and Ben Koppen stalls, you’re gauranteed to find something to snack on that you know and love.

Whenever we pop in to the market, I’m always interested in the smaller, less known stalls. Gourmet Pancakes serves the most delicious pancakes you will EVER eat (I’ll bet money on it), with toppings ranging from cinnamon and sugar to strawberries and Nutella. Bant-a-licious is full of banting and diabetic friendly snacks and treats with the most friendly and helpful owners. Hash Rosti’s is heaven on earth, you’ll see by the pics that I have a serious obsession and I’ll recommend the thai chicken rosti until I die! (insert in love emoji here. Seriously, its that good.)

It’s a totally family friendly place, with lots of seating space, live music and, most importantly, gin and beer tasting. Sponsored by bottle store Tops and local charity, Love Story, it makes you feel good knowing your money is going to a good cause. Similar to the Goodnight Market is the Valley Market, held on the first Saturday morning of every month. It’s more of a day time outing with an amazing outdoor location at the Donkin Reserve, a historical monument in PE.

Whether you want to eat the best nachos of your life, meet up with friends or chill out and listen to some live music, there is something different for everybody at the market. Check out the links below for more info and related social media pages.

Thanks for reading! xxx
